The ceremony

A funeral

A funeral is a ceremony in which we acknowledge the death of someone significant; we commit the body to be cremated or buried; we gather as a community. A funeral takes place at a crematorium, cemetery, or natural burial ground.

What I include

  • our initial meeting (usually lasting up to two hours) in your home, to talk about your loved one
  • all continued liaison with you and the funeral director
  • crafting and working with you to create the script for your ceremony
  • keeping in touch and making any additions or amendments to the draft script
  • leading the ceremony
  • a copy of the ceremony script.

My fee for this is £200, including travel within 15 miles of Ayr. Fees in full

Notice: ideally, two weeks before the date of the service.

Nothing you choose here is sent anywhere.

I trained with the Academy of Modern Celebrancy. I am based in Ayrshire and am happy to travel throughout Scotland and the United Kingdom.

As your celebrant, I create beautifully bespoke ceremonies, thoughtfully crafted to reflect your story and the people at the heart of it. With warmth, sensitivity and a genuine appreciation for life's most meaningful occasions, I take the time to listen, understand what matters to you, and bring your ceremony to life with grace and authenticity.
